"What shaped my growth journey with IDP!" - Anurag Srivastava

“I began my IDP journey an education counsellor for New Zealand. From my very first day, I was embraced by a culture of warmth and support that set the tone for my time at IDP. The entire IDP team made sure I had the best assistance and support available to excel in my role.  

IDP provides you top-notch training resources to help you excel in your role and the culture is very receptive to fresh perspective. This is what has encouraged me to always consider new ways to do things more effectively from day one to today. 

Given that the world is rapidly changing and our industry, adaptability has been my key to learn new skills and acquire knowledge to keep up. 

My love for learning combined with the inclusive work environment fostered my growth and performance right from the start.  I began as an Education Counsellor and have since then been promoted to Senior Executive (New Zealand CR Team), AM -NZ Client Relations, Manager, Senior Manager for NZ CR and now - Head of Destination Training & Client Development (UK). 

One learning experience among many that helped my development was the IDP flagship leadership mentoring program, Maher El Bakry Emerging Leaders Award. The program not only provided funding for my development but also offered unique mentoring sessions with our Global Leadership Team. These sessions added significant value and provided a rare opportunity for me to learn from experienced leaders.  

Having begun as individual contributor to now guiding teams toward success and achieving their goals, each milestone has been deeply fulfilling for me. My future aspirations include taking the UK Destination to reach new heights while evolving both personally and professionally through continuous learning and skill development.
