"It's hard to believe that 13 years have passed since I first joined IDP. The memories of my very first day, as the most junior member of the team, are still fresh in my memory –still remember the warm welcome I received. 

For my first two years at IDP, I worked as a student counsellor before making a transition into a brand-new role in marketing. This change required me to dive headfirst into the world of marketing, learning how to collaborate with event and digital marketing agencies. Along with this, my exposure to various digital marketing channels and strategies further enriched my knowledge.  

Another pivotal moment came when our country director recommended that I switch from marketing to the IELTS team and take on a leadership role. This transition pushed me to immerse myself in the intricacies of the IELTS program. The IDP Leadership Foundation program helped equip me for my journey. 

Stepping into the role of a first-time manager, I prioritised understanding the challenges our team members and customers were facing. I initiated discussions with senior team members and proposed solutions to enhance our system. The invaluable support we received from the global team led to a successful revamp of our test booking system, resulting in improved performance. This experience underscored the importance of a supportive network and the necessity of global team collaboration in overcoming challenges. 

My team is an amazing and passionate bunch. And I’m delighted to add that the team's hard work has been recognised by IDP at our Global Excellence Awards - under categories including Leadership Impact, Marketing Magic, and Innovation and Business Transformation. 

What a great journey this has been - there has never been a dull moment!  I am committed to learning and advancing my career within IDP – and to offering guidance and support to my team members.
