“IDP – a great place to work, learn and grow!” – Mohammed Ghallab

"IDP is a great place to work, with numerous opportunities for growth. I've been part of IDP since 2014, and as our business expands, there are various pathways for us to grow as well, including development programs. 

The Maher El Bakry Emerging Leaders Award at IDP is one such initiative that focuses on the development of team members worldwide. I was honored to be selected as a recipient in 2019 and had the chance to enhance my leadership skills with support from our Global Leadership Team. Engaging with our global leaders as part of the program allowed me to broaden my perspective and gain insights into their strategic thinking through sessions, workshops, and one-on-ones. 

As part of the program, I was also given the opportunity to pursue the Certified Managerial Accountant (CMA) certification from IMA-US (sponsored by IDP). Earning the internationally recognised CMA is about more than just gaining a certification; it signifies expertise in financial accounting and strategic management. CMAs are qualified for a variety of roles, from financial controller to chief financial officer (CFO), emphasising the understanding of the 'why' behind the numbers, providing a competitive edge in various roles.  

Being chosen as an emerging leader at IDP was particularly meaningful to me, as it reflects a promise I made to Maher El-Bakry himself that I would pursue my learning goals. We cherish his memory and remember him fondly at IDP as an inspiring global leader. I plan to continue learning and growing, adding more value to IDP. 

My time at IDP has been fulfilling – I have truly enjoyed every day at IDP.
