“What makes a company a great place to work? The best places to work provide beyond just job satisfaction – they provide life satisfaction. They are built with people in mind – they help their people find and pursue their passions, they bring their people together on a personal level, they empower their people to own their work, and they create a space where their people can be themselves.
Today, I’m thrilled to share more about why I work at IDP.
Whether you are a part of our team, someone aspiring to be a part of our team, or just a reader curious about who we are or what being a part of IDP means to me – join me on our journey of what makes IDP such a great place to work.
This is my story that uncovers why I truly love working here.
So, how did I get here? When I joined IDP, the thing that stood out to me was how its people felt truly connected and energized by the company purpose and mission. Since then, I have had the opportunity to help shape IDP’s people strategy by capturing our employee voices from around the globe. Through a series of design thinking workshops with our diverse people, globally consistent key themes and messages appeared: we love our colleagues, leaders and culture and feel connected to the business purpose.
We do great things here, so we should be proud of what we have achieved. And by listening to our people and prospective people, we are learning, growing and becoming an even better place to work.
While working across our people strategy, I really loved connecting with our people from around the world, from various backgrounds, and hearing their experiences and stories. I’ve also enjoyed the freedom to push myself and expand my experience. There is always an opportunity to learn something new and broaden my views.
Earlier this year, I had the opportunity to develop and launch our brand-new Corporate Careers Website, working alongside our talented team from the Digital Campus in India. It was an incredible experience – I got to use my creativity, expand my technical knowledge of what goes into building a website, as well as build strong personal connections with the team in India. By the end of the project, I had grown many new friendships – the distance did not matter. I was even invited to a wedding!
The people at IDP are so passionate about our company purpose and mission, and you can feel that energy and spirit shine through every interaction.
This is what it means and feels like to be a part of our story at IDP. The IDP story has our people at the heart of it.
So, will you be part of our story and help shape and grow IDP’s future, together?” Bernice Boo, Group Manager, Talent Acquisition.
