As the Destination Director for Canada, Mukta leads cross functional teams in South Asia region, to help achieve IDP's business goals.

"It fills me with immense joy and pride to look back upon my 8.5-year journey with IDP. From the moment I joined this progressive organisation, I knew I had made the right choice. In fact, I often wish I had joined IDP even earlier in my career. Every year at IDP has been gratifying, setting new milestones, and propelling my professional growth. The seamless integration of my diverse industry experiences with IDP's growth plans has been instrumental in shaping me and my role. I’ve acquired invaluable knowledge in the field of international education through collaborative learning at IDP.

When I first joined IDP, I took on the role of Head of Sales & Operations for the IDP India's Head office in Delhi & Gurgaon. Thanks to IDP's growth strategy and collaborative opportunities, I had the privilege of hosting the inauguration of new IDP offices every six months and engaging with stakeholders in hiring, training, and growing a high performing team from 20 to 200 members. Customer satisfaction is of utmost importance to me, and during this journey, I’ve made valuable connections with our business partners and colleagues. Each year at IDP has equipped me with the skills and expertise necessary to excel in my field.

Leadership, for me, is about creating a work environment where team members find happiness and ultimately succeed in exploring their potential. As IDP expanded with more offices and ever-increasing performances, it was the self-motivated leaders and budding talents within my teams who made it all possible. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with such inspiring leaders who, in turn, are nurturing future leaders within their teams.

I find immense fulfilment in the role I play at IDP. One aspect of my journey with IDP that I hold dear to my heart is the fulfilment of several dreams and accomplishments. Empowering and helping students realise and achieve their international educational aspirations, brings purpose to my work. Witnessing the transformative impact that international education has on individuals and communities is a constant reminder of the meaningful work we do at IDP.

Personally, despite the challenges posed by the pandemic, I was able to pursue academic programs with the University of Queensland, leveraging my expertise in international education. In fact, using the same knowledge, I successfully facilitated my own son's admission to one of the prestigious universities that IDP partners with, adding a personal touch to my professional journey.

At IDP, I have been fortunate to experience continuous growth and skill development. Last year, I transitioned into the role of Destination Director for Canada (South Asia), which enables me to put to use my training skills and engage closely with our clients, working tirelessly in favour of IDP's mission.

To me, success is defined by aligning my life's goals with those of the organisation. It means finding joy in what I do, inspiring others to find fulfilment in their own roles, celebrating both small and significant milestones, and making a positive impact on the lives of those in need. At IDP, I have found a meaningful purpose that resonates deeply with my personal values, fostering a sense of accomplishment at every stage of my career.

As I look back on my journey, there are several milestones and achievements that I am proud to have accomplished. They serve as a testament to the dedication and hard work invested in my role at IDP, reinforcing my commitment to making a difference in the lives of students and shaping a brighter future for them.

On a personal note, I am an adventure sport lover and a fitness enthusiast. These passions have taught me the importance of pushing my mental and physical endurance, enabling me to navigate challenging situations at work and in my personal life. Whether facing the demands of a global pandemic or providing support to my colleagues, I am always ready to lend a helping hand and be there for others.

I am immensely grateful for the remarkable journey I have had with IDP thus far. It has been a privilege to be part of an organisation that empowers dreams, fuels growth, and makes a lasting impact on the lives of students. I eagerly look forward to the exciting chapters that lie ahead as we continue to shape the future of international education together." - Mukta Sanjeev, Destination Director - Canada, in South Asia.
