This is how I define my job…. 

Reflecting on my 20-year journey with IDP, I am filled with immense pride and gratitude. The growth and success we have witnessed both as an organisation and as individuals is truly inspiring. Throughout this remarkable journey, our unwavering focus has always been on surpassing customer and client expectations while strengthening our people, systems, and work methodologies. I am honoured to have played a part in this transformative voyage that has shaped me both personally and professionally. I feel the objective to bring a student closer to their overseas education dream is what adds value to the core work that we do, and we strive to always create something new and meaningful to make these experiences better. 

I started as a Counsellor in IDP and moved up to team management roles. When I chose to shift from being a branch manager at IDP Delhi to the central Clients Relations role at the IDP India head office, I had no idea how stimulating and accomplishing this will turn out to be.  

Currently, as the Destination Director for Australia and New Zealand in the South Asia region, I have the privilege of closely collaborating with internal and external stakeholders and leading cross-functional teams to achieve our business goals. 

IDP's success story in India is nothing short of an extraordinary story, with a massive growth in its scale of operations, creating countless opportunities for our professional development. We consistently raise the bar every year. Personally, I have embraced the change and evolved. I believe the ability to adapt fast and stay agile is very important.  

The pace complimented with talented teammates and inspirational leaders, made work so engrossing and motivating. Time flies in IDP and there is never a boring day! 

I have always been driven to seize any opportunity that allows me to sharpen my skills, broaden my knowledge and gain diverse exposures. New projects are always exciting! I especially love the part of my role that keeps me closely connected with our university clients to create strong partnerships, contributing to the overall strength of our ecosystem.

At work, the culture of trust, collaboration and recognition is extremely encouraging. It’s possible to do so much more together when one is surrounded by like-minded peers and team members who share the same passion and dedication. My transformation has been aligned with the way IDP has transformed over the years. What’s most motivating is the manner in which we always begin with the end result in our mind, focus to achieve them and then celebrate our success in grand style. We certainly know how to have fun along the way! 

I am grateful and fortunate to have a strong support system both at work and at home. My family has been a constant source of encouragement for my achievements at every step. Being able to strike a healthy balance between my personal and professional life, all these years, is what gives me a profound sense of fulfilment. Moreover, I also cherish the friendships that I have built within the industry and at work, these are simply invaluable. I am humbled and feel proud at the same time.
