From Marketing Assistant to Area Marketing Manager, I have had plenty of opportunities at IDP to learn, grow and achieve my career goals over the last ten years. I am extremely appreciative of the organisation for being a pillar of support and strength throughout this journey.

I’ve been working with IDP since I graduated. I had never imagined that I would work for a company for ten years. IDP’s unique charm has made me want to stay and continue to grow and thrive.

At IDP, my thoughts and efforts are always seen, valued, and heard. I started as a Marketing Assistant in 2013. With the support and help of my manager and colleagues, I was able to quickly learn and thrive in my job. I also got comprehensive training and many opportunities to contribute to important projects. For example, the IDP Chinese official website needed to be updated and my manager encouraged me to try and share my ideas and thoughts on it. My voice was heard, and my suggestions were adopted. I felt respected, which meant a lot to me especially as a newcomer at that time.

I always feel so lucky to be part of IDP where I can be myself and play to my strengths, constantly making progress and surpassing my own expectations and achievements. In 2014, I was promoted to be a marketing specialist and made responsible for organising marketing events. I’m good at planning, executing, and coordinating. I took every event seriously and tried my best to achieve the event goals. Every time I saw the event venue being filled and bustling with participants, I felt a great sense of accomplishment, knowing that my hard work had yielded results.

In 2015, I took up a new position within the marketing function and was responsible for local channel development. It was a fantastic opportunity for me to further grow in my career. I got to know and developed business relationships with many partners to develop cooperation channels for marketing purposes. I also created a new cooperation model of IELTS (International English Language Testing System) training and application service package with local training centers. All these efforts turned out to be an immense success for the growth of our business. In 2016, I was promoted to be a Cooperation Channel Supervisor, which enabled me to exercise my leadership skills. I led the cooperation channel team to identify more partners and exceed KPI targets. I was recognised for my excellent contributions and received the IDP China FY16 Excellent Service Award. I consider this as an important milestone in my career development at IDP.

In 2017, I was promoted to be Marketing Manager of IDP Guangzhou office. I love working with my team as they always actively engage in brainstorming activities and come up with many good marketing and event ideas. My motto for work is "To be the best I can be." I also ensure to encourage my team members to leverage their strengths and try their best to achieve goals. Later In 2021, I was promoted to be Area Marketing Manager, South China. I feel very elated to have gotten this opportunity as this served as the biggest turning point in my career here.

Looking back at the past ten years, I am extremely grateful to IDP for providing me with so many fantastic opportunities to learn, practice, grow, and flourish. Every time I introduce IDP to our partners and clients, I feel so proud as IDP is a global Leader in the International Education sector with strong and reliable IELTS official services and client institutes. Also, IDP is a people first organization, making it an excellent workplace.
