"IDP. More than a workplace. A community to grow, together!" - Nisha Murthe

"My IDP story began when I joined in 2009 as a content writer, after having taken a seven-year break to focus on motherhood. Little did I know then that this would be one of the best decisions I had ever made. 

From the very beginning, I was embraced by an environment that promoted openness and collaboration, allowing me to expand my knowledge beyond my role. The culture of support and encouragement to try new things allowed me to thrive and assume more responsibilities. 

My career trajectory has been a result of the opportunities of growth and development given by my leaders, their trust in me to learn and be able to deliver things I had not tried before, the culture of mentorship, and the accessibility to leadership. It allowed me to evolve into who I am today professionally and personally.

Even after taking a break to be with my son when he entered college, my journey with IDP continued. I was given the opportunity to come back. 

Quite early in my career, I learned that commitment, owning responsibility and learning every day are the key growth drivers. Focusing on the process and not just the outcome is also essential, as it's the process that helps you evolve and develop. 

One of my career highlights was contributing to the success story of the IDP Fastlane product, a game-changing product in the international education sector. A product that has reduced the timeline it takes for study abroad aspirants to get an offer (in principle) from universities worldwide from weeks to minutes, through a well-designed system. My team has put in fantastic effort to be able to bring international universities on board this new system seamlessly. 

Another project close to my heart from recent years has been the IDP Connect revenue management system I worked on with the team.  Building a system that could track revenue recognition on a real-time basis, we were able to improve revenue forecast accuracy from 35% to 90% and above. A lot of effort by all my teams went into this project to bring it to life.  

Apart from the business value delivered, these projects allowed both inter-intra team ideation, and collaboration. We were able to succeed because the IDP eco-system encouraged us to challenge each other but allowed us to look after each other. The relationships I have built and the learnings I have had make these projects so close to my heart. Being able to ideate, decide and execute delivery processes with little intervention from our leaders but loads of support and encouragement when we falter is one of the reasons we have and continue to be able to offer such great products and experiences for our customers and clients.  

IDP has been more than just a workplace for me; it's been a community that has helped me grow and develop. I'm excited to see where my journey with this innovative company will take me next.
