IDP, the global leader in international education services, has announced the appointment of two senior technology leaders – Matt Toohey and Jeremy Mocek.

Matt has joined IDP as Chief Information Officer and Jeremy has commenced in the role of Chief Technology and Innovation Officer - IELTS.

These newly created roles demonstrate IDP’s increased investment in technology to unlock opportunities for its customers, and transform the international education sector.

The new roles follow on from the appointment of Neeraja Krishnan in 2021 in her role as Director of IDP’s Digital Campus in India which is supported by 530 digital and technology experts.

Matt Toohey – Chief Information Officer

Prior to joining IDP, Matt worked as the Chief Information Officer of ME Bank. He has also held CIO roles at iiNet and Wesfarmers Chemicals, Energy and Fertilisers.

Matt will become part of IDP’s Global Leadership Team and will be responsible for the overall strategy and direction for technology at the company.

Jeremy Mocek – Chief Technology and Innovation Officer - IELTS

Jeremy has over a decade’s experience at IDP, with his previous roles including Information Services Manager and most recently, Chief Technology Officer.

In his new role, Jeremy will lead the team driving innovation in IDP’s International English Language Testing System (IELTS) business and lead the company’s technology engagement with IELTS partners.

Andrew Barkla, IDP’s Chief Executive Officer, said both Matt and Jeremy will play a critical role in IDP’s ambitious digital transformation strategy, which continues to build momentum.

“We have invested early in digital technology, and our customers, clients and people are already reaping the benefits. Our enhanced digital capabilities now include a student placement platform, virtual counselling, IDP Live and computer-delivered IELTS.
