Following a global search, IDP Education has appointed Natalie Field as our Chief Customer Experience Officer, Student Placement, joining the company’s Global Leadership Team.

Natalie brings more than 20 years of experience across digital, data, product and customer experience, with a strong track record of turning strategy into execution and leading organisational transformation.

Tennealle O’Shannessy, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director, IDP Education, said Natalie’s appointment reflects IDP’s continued focus on strengthening our customer-led approach.

"We are delighted to welcome Natalie to IDP’s Global Leadership Team as Chief Customer Experience Officer, Student Placement," Tennealle said.

"This new role strengthens how we bring together our customer and product experience, helping us move faster while continuing to deliver the quality and trust our customers expect."

Natalie has held senior leadership roles including Chief Data and Digital Officer at Bupa and General Manager of Digital and Product Engineering at Australia Post. Most recently, she served as CEO of Informed Decisions and PEXA Insights, where she led the transformation of complex organisations and embedded strategies for sustainable growth.

Natalie says she was drawn to IDP’s purpose and the opportunity to contribute to the next phase of growth.

"Beyond the purpose and the scale of the role, what motivates me most is IDP’s mission to be the first choice. The strategic growth opportunity and the road ahead genuinely excite me," she said.

"I also feel a personal connection to the experience we create, having had my own international experience in 2003 when I completed the final year of my engineering degree in France. It gave me lifelong friendships and has shaped my approach to learning and leadership ever since. I am looking forward to immersing myself in the industry, learning quickly, and spending time with our team, customers, clients and government stakeholders so we can make real progress together."

Natalie will be based in Melbourne and joins IDP on 1 July 2026.
