The centre was officially launched on 14 May by Her Excellency Professor the Honourable Margaret Gardner, Governor of Victoria and IDP CEO Tennealle O'Shannessy, alongside Chinese and Australian guests.
Located in Raffles City in Chengdu’s Wuhou District, the modern centre offers computer-delivered IELTS with frequent test sessions, fast results and purpose-built facilities designed to create a calm and supportive experience for test takers.
Speaking at the launch, Ms O’Shannessy said the new centre reflects IDP’s commitment to helping test takers feel confident and supported as they pursue global study and career opportunities.
“We know an IELTS test can be life changing, and we are proud to provide a welcoming and reassuring environment where people can perform at their best,” she said.
“Our goal is to help test takers feel relaxed and ready to achieve their best possible score on test day. From the design of the test centre through to the support provided by our trained staff, every part of the experience has been carefully considered.”
“With an IELTS score, our test takers can proudly show an organisation what they are made of. It’s a clear, trusted way to prove English ability, and we are delighted that IDP IELTS will help open doors to more global opportunities for people in Chengdu,” she said.
